Types of promotions and contests on Facebook with Easypromos
Easypromos is an organic, dynamic application which is constantly evolving to adapt to the needs of Facebook page administrators. Since its conception we have incorporated various types of promotions and features that may not be known to all the administrators. In this post we will give you a more detailed review of what Easypromos can do.
1. Promotions with a direct prize and sweepstakes
This type of promotion has the following structure: A landing in which the promotion is explained. An entry form in which the user fills his or her personal information and answers the questions set by the administrator. A page on which the user is thanked for his/her participation and invited to share the promotion with friends.
On filling in the entry form, the user can receive a prize directly or they can be entered into a draw. Easypromos does not choose the winner; the administrator must decide how to do this.
2. Discount cupouns
With Easypromos it is possible to give a discount coupon to users who take part in a promotion. After filling in the entry form, we display the coupon on the ‘thank you’ page. 3. Promotional codes
An alternative to discount coupons are promotional codes. This type of promotion works very well for online stores that have their own system for generating codes. It is also suitable for when you wish to reward the user with a digital item; for example each participant wins a code with which to download a song on iTunes. Easypromos supports all types of operations with promotional codes. We can give an exclusive promotional code to each participant, a batch of unique codes, or codes from a list generated by the administrator and so on. 4. Photo, video and text-based contests
Contests are one of the most commonly used promotional activities carried out by administrators via Easypromos. It is possible to hold photo, video or text- based contests with Easypromos. These contests can be set up in a variety of ways: with or without voting, for fans only or open to all, public or private entries, and so on. The tool offers many options which allow the administrator to design the contest as he or she sees fit. 5. Pick your favourite
Here a user can vote for an option offered by the administrator. In this type of contest, instead of sending in their own entries, users choose from a selection of alternatives provided by the page itself. This promotion works very well when a brand wishes to involve the user in the decision-making process. The set-up of this type of promotion is a little different. 6. Fan get Fan
Many administrators are interested in creating promotions in which users can take part if they invite a certain number of friends. Now, it’s worth noting that invitations increasingly lack visibility, and the number of invitations that a participant can send is a parameter that is controlled by Facebook and that depends on each user. Normally, there are between 4 and 12 invitations available for each user. To overcome this limitation we recommend creating a voting contest in which only friends of the participant can vote, and in which the prize is drawn from all those who have a minimum number of votes. We can therefore ensure that votes for each entry come from friends of the participant, and that these friends have become fans of the page. This type of set up is only available with the Premium and White Label versions of Easypromos.
7. Surveys and market research
With Easypromos it is also possible to carry out surveys and market research in order to get a better idea regarding the opinions of our customers/users.
