4 ideas for your Facebook Christmas campaigns

Think creative and give away something associated with the Christmas festivities, whether you are a fashion brand, a small beauty salon or a theatre. It can be a family Christmas/New Years Eve dinner menu, a pair of trendy boots, a professional make-up session to look fabulous at the family reunion or some money to spend in your store for Christmas gifts.

2. Christmas Photo/Video Contest

Here you can create a bigger viral effect by inviting your fans to upload pictures or videos and vote the entries. How about “Best decorated Christmas tree”, “Best arranged Christmas table” or “Most creative Snowman” (this last of course not applicable to all countries). Or in the video case “Best Christmas song”, “Best Santa Claus interpretation” or “Share your wishes for 2012”. Make sure to offer something really attractive as this form of contest requires some extra effort from your fans than just filling in a registration form.

3. Pick your favourite

We recently posted a detailed explanation on how this feature works. It is a great way to collect feedback from your fans on your products/services and it can be perfectly fit for a Christmas promo. Pick your favourite Christmas gift, Christmas outfit or Christmas/NYE holidays destination… This again is limited to Fans only and is a great way to engage and give you an idea of which products will be best sellers this season.

4. Christmas discount or promotional code

Now, when we are all getting ready for the big Christmas shopping what a better gift than a discount coupon or a promotional code associated to a discount for your products. This goes hand in hand with the regular sweepstakes promo where instead of the simple “ Thank you for participating” page you can actually download your discount coupon in a PDF format or get the code. “30% off our Christmas selection”. Who can resist that?
