New design template for Easypromos promotions and contests

Posted in: Business newsLast update: 30/08/21

In this post we present the launch of a new design template available for all Easypromos versions – Basic, Premium and White Label promotions.

The new template is an addition to the current designs and is introduced as one more set-up option. This design is compatible with all types of promotions and contests that are available in Easypromos.

The benefits of the new template are:

  • Greater visual impact of the promotion.
  • Optimization of the space offered by Easypromos for presenting the promotion.
  • Improved usability to encourage users to take part.
  • Incorporation of new social elements to generate greater engagement.

Here is the outline of the new design template. We have indicated the main characteristics and new features.

The main characteristics are as follows:

1. 810px main promotion image

This is the most important visual component of the promotion. This template allows you to configure an image that takes up all the available width of 810px. If the application detects that the image has a greater width, it will resize the image to 810px, maintaining the height ratio. The image is clickable in all cases and takes the user to the entry form.

2. Promotion information organized in two columns

In the left-hand column there is a description of the promotion, contest rules and sharing options. It has a space of 450px for explaining the promotion. All types of HTML code are accepted in the description, and it is even possible to embed videos. In the right-hand column there is information that is useful for the promotion and actions that can be carried out by users: the button to enter the promotion and the link to access the gallery of contest entries.

3. Top navigation bar

When a user moves the mouse over the main promotion image a dropdown menu will appear with the main actions that a user can carry out. The buttons in this task bar vary depending on what type of promotion is being carried out. The main action that stands out is the button to enter the promotion, so the option to enter appears both in the header and the main body of the promotion.

4. Preview of the latest entries

If the administrator sets up the promotion to allow entries to be published, profile pictures of the latest participants will also appear on the main page.

5. Presentation of the promotion with videos of up to 810px

The new template is prepared so as to take advantage of the whole available width that Facebook provides to applications (810px). This area is ready for presenting a YouTube or Vimeo video. It is also possible to play a purpose -made Flash animation.

Note: The template only affects the home page of the promotion. The rest of the pages, such as the entry form or the galleries of entries in photo or video contests, remain the same.

The new template can be selected when creating a promotion and it is even possible to change the design while the promotion is underway from the setup form itself. The administrator can choose between two available templates: the standard Easypromos template and the new one.

The standard Easypromos template is as follows:

Its main characteristics are:

  1. Main image of 480px
  2. Provision of information in a single column
  3. Option of customizing the background with an image
  4. It is the standard Easypromos template

We hope that by using these templates you can create successful promotions for your Facebook pages!
